Yep! I tried to contact you through one of your last rides,( I forgot my forum password lol). Good news mate! It is 23". However it's the older style that clamps onto the BB cups. I still have the two aluminum shims that Jon had for his setup. It's the metallic grey color.

Hi Don I think I can help, the V I bought of Jon D had a chainstay that was too long for me, I'm 174, I bought one to suit me but still have the longer one. I can't recall which length it is but I think Jon is about your height? If you're interested I'll dig it out and measure it for you.

I just noticed you said the bike is a large. Is that only because of the chainstay or is the frame, seat and boom also large. I'm 5'8" and slim so not usually a large fit.
