    How Low Should I Go?

I've had my Quest since October and have managed to put a little over 400 miles on it through this harsh Winter. My riding skill is now acceptable, and I can ride for hundreds of yards with no hands, so I'm wondering now about seat angle. I have reduced it some while I was learning to ride the...

First Ride On My Brand New Quest 559 -- I'm No Natural But I Think I Can Do It!

I did not buy the snow ski attachment Well, I was doing fine right up until the snow hit. As a matter of fact I can ride with no hands now but mostly only straight with slight corrections. I can't go around turns or anything without hands yet. Somewhere else on this forum I posted a link to a...

    Newb

Congrats shortbus Congratulations on your soon to arrive Quest. Hopefully you live somewhere where it's warm! I've had my Quest a little over a month now but the Sunday after Thanksgiving was the last time I got to ride it due to ice and snow. It is a lot of fun learning how to ride a bike for...

    This is a CruzBike Quest

During the Thanksgiving holiday I was describing my Quest to some family members who had never seen one and I wasn't doing a very good job. I returned home on Sunday and leaned my iPhone up against a parking lot light with the video camera running to make a quick video showing the Quest. It gets...

Wahoo Blue SC Mounted on Quest - Not Ideal

What About Battery Life Thanks for the info Eric! I've only used my Blue SC on one actual bike ride so far and both cadence and speed worked fine throughout the 28 mile ride. I am amazed that speed continues to function since I can almost slide my pinky finger between the magnet and the sensor...

Wahoo Blue SC Mounted on Quest - Not Ideal

I picked up a Wahoo Blue Speed & Cadence sensor from my local Apple store yesterday. Based on info from the Wahoo web site, it seemed like the Blue SC should work on the Quest. It does, but the mounting is not ideal and I can't tell if my unit is defective or if they all operate like this...

    First ride clipped in

I Too Am A Clipless Convert I am new to recumbents which also makes me new to Cruzbikes and, on top of all that, I have never used clipless pedals on any bike until 2 weeks ago. The first 10 minutes I tried riding my Quest on day 1, I had thoughts that I'd never be able to ride it. I could...

Need Tire Recommendation For Quest 559

Howdy, I have been considering getting some new, wider tires for my Quest. I have only had the bike for about a month but have put about 220 miles on the current tires and I'm thinking I'm just not a skinny tire kinda guy. There is not much tread on my current tires and today I got a flat tire...

First Ride On My Brand New Quest 559 -- I'm No Natural But I Think I Can Do It!

Sure John Sure John, feel free to use it anywhere you'd like. It was taken with an iPhone 4s (which was also acting as my cycling computer!) Actually, The one I have on my iPhone is probably a little higher resolution. I can email you that one if you'd care to give me an email address.

First Ride On My Brand New Quest 559 -- I'm No Natural But I Think I Can Do It!

Quest In Autumn Just figured I'd include a photo from a recent ride. The Quest just seems to go with autumn foliage. alt="Autumn Quest"

Wondering about screw sizing for one of the Quest's rack screws.

Found Them... Figured I'd answer my own question now that i've had to order replacement screws from amazon.com. They are M5-0.8 x 10mm Button Head Socket Cap Screws like the ones pictured here.

Wondering about screw sizing for one of the Quest's rack screws.

There are two screws that attach the Quest's rack to the seat tube through what appear to be welded nuts of some sort. One of those two screws came to me with the Allen wrench flats "pre-boogered" (an aviation maintenance term) to the point that I cannot get the screw tight enough to keep it...

For You, Is Left Right or is Right Right?

As I continue to learn safe riding techniques on my Quest, I seem to run various experiments to try and figure out what are the best techniques for me. On the subject of starting off, I instinctively tried using my stronger leg (the right one) as the one on the pedal in the power position while...

First Ride On My Brand New Quest 559 -- I'm No Natural But I Think I Can Do It!

Huge Progress Just One Day Later Went back to the same parking lot today and rode 21 miles before I even knew it. I did lots of lazy 8s, some slow flight and even had an emergency landing when my right shoelace got caught on the crank. It's funny how one can get very comfortable doing some...

X-Seam Sizing Specifically On The Quest

Answering My Own Question For Those Who Follow Well, as everyone who offered advice suspected, the Quest fits me just fine. The seat came pre-set to 45 degrees and that's how I left it. I set the boom out to 11 because that's where my heel placed it during static fitting. When I actually...

First Ride On My Brand New Quest 559 -- I'm No Natural But I Think I Can Do It!

Well, I received my new Quest 559 late in the week and had it assembled and adjusted for riding today. It rained all day until around 3:30 PM. I had many concerns (have fewer now) about learning to ride the Quest because I am 54 years old, 6'1" and am long time out of shape at 255 lbs. I have...
