    Vendetta on a Turbo Trainer

Many thanks for the guidance. I have however found alternative solutions: 1) I have bought a 'new-to-me' Sofrider that should be suitable for winter use (and also rides out with the kids). This means I can venture outdoors more through winter 2) I have permission from my better half to drill...

    Vendetta on a Turbo Trainer

Autumn is goint to be setting in here in the UK soon, and I have being looking at options to train on the V indoors. I have a Turbo trainer which fits well on the front wheel, but have noticed that I get a lot of movement through the bike when I pedal hard. Specifically, my wooden floors are...

    Uphill battle

I'm almost 6 months into my Vendetta owning experience - and have been quite pleasantly surprised that the learning / performance curve has not really started to level off yet. As I was enjoying a quick pootle around my local country lanes, I was reflect on: a) I am still growing in confidence...

    New challenge

I'm sorry to hear that .... I hope all goes well this weekend. It's shame you weren't able to make it; there was one other recumbent (plus mine) at the event and there was a fair bit of interest in the V. It would have been great to have had two of them there. Oh well.... Have been flying the...

    New challenge

So I did it ... a fantastic day out, great weather and wonderful scenery. I was very pleased with my overall pace ... when riding, I was very much at the faster end of those participating, although I indulged myself with some long stops at the controls and more than my fair share of cake...

    New challenge

Fantastic - see you there. This will be the first time I've seen another Cruzbike in the flesh ...

    New challenge

I'm doing this one: http://www.aukweb.net/events/detail/15-388/ I thought it would be a great first Audax. I know that part of the world very well having studied in teh area and got married nearby. Its also a pretty flat route so shoudln;t be too hard.

    New challenge

A strange thing has happened … Some of the regulars on here may recall I bought my V20 when I signed up with a few colleagues for a London to Paris charity ride. Suffice to say I probably did underestimate the challenge of getting comfortable on my Vendetta but, with thanks to those on here...

The "Learning to ride a Vendetta" diary

JeremyS - that was the key for me. Once I stopped trying to set off while fully reclined, it made the whole starting experience easier. I also found I was very sensitive to being in the right gear: too low or too high and I wouldn't get enough momentum to get going. M

    New product thoughts

It's hugely exciting to see the various new product in development and also things hitting the Store. I was just looking in the Store at the new CB Jersey and thinking what else do I need (where 'need' is a very loose term that often moves closer to 'want') ... One genuine 'need' (for me) is a...

Need input for possible new Cruzbike product

Oops ... Fat fingers I'm loving the idea of a carbon aerobox. A couple of quick thoughts: A) the sunken bottle holders seem daft: they are inefficient use of space in side the box. Using a bladder might be acceptable to many and having a mounting point for a cage may be a solution that...

Paris or bust ... probably bust

Just got back today ... wow - what an amazing experience. I will write a more full description of the trip in the coming days. However, the highlights were: a) The camaraderie of the 100 or so riders I went with (http://duchennedash.com/) b) The scenery and countryside of Northern France - not...

Paris or bust ... probably bust

Tomorrow is the big day - Paris here we come. I have most of today enjoying carbs and the V has been fully fettled by my LBS. The weather was looking dicey (31c, thunder storms, and head/crosswind in France) but then the forecast changed today. I have my CB jersey ready (laundered but oily!)...

    vendetta evolution ideas

Three thoughts ... all very trivial ... 1. Cable routing through the boom would be great, I found I had to zip-tie the various cables to the boom to avoid chaffing on my legs and they just look a bit unsightly. They also get in the way of a small bag that I want to hang under the boom. Bottle...

Paris or bust ... probably bust

I suspect there will be a lot of calories consumed once we get there … wheel shaped and otherwise. Happyrider - thank you for the invite, although it may have to wait for another time ...

Paris or bust ... probably bust

Ratz, That is very kind ... however, I have uploaded a v. short clip from today that shows I still have a little further to go (less in the miles sense, more in the control sense) before I can change the title of this thread. M

Paris or bust ... probably bust

Today, I became a Centurion … and not a metric Centurion, but a full-fat, caffeinated, imperial measurement system Centurion. To give you a sense of how far this was, my ride of 100miles is the same as 528,000 feet, or 176,000 yards, or 800 furlongs or 5,280 Ramsden's chains, 8,000 gunters...

Paris or bust ... probably bust

I have had a bit of a play with the bike. Given the lack of of an obvious 'fix' I thought I would try the easy stuff first: so I took snilard's advice and moved the ventisit back a bit and then I also lengthened the headrest about a inch or so. This avoided the need to start re-adjusting...
