a little ventisit back surgery

I open up my ventisit and added a little more cushion. I used the stock cruzbike pad to add to the seat and make a lumbar support. Opening it up wasn't hard though it always feels weird to cut open something like this, but it was just zip ties that had to be cut. It took about 5 trys to get the lumbar just like I wanted. In the end the lumbar worked perfect and I'm hoping that the extra layer of padding will keep me from getting pressure pain I've been getting on really long rides in my left butt/hip joint.

interesting where you've dangled your water bladder, I've managed to fit mine behind the headrest. Will have to see if it creates a problem in fitting the banana bags as well.

I've been working toward making a suite of bags that is streamlined and let's me carry enough for credit card touring/bike camping. I wanted to put the water below the frame between the wheels but it swings to much there. Where it is now the frame helps keep the water staple.

I have a Ventisit Comfort pad but I thought it might be just as comfortable if it were not so thick. Following Kenneth's example I cut a single zip tie and was easily able to remove the inner layer as there were no points of attachment. I'll see how this works out on my next ride. If it is unsatisfactory I'll just put the inner layer back in.

I ordered material and made my own pad.

I’ve got stock ventisit pad for vendetta and tried extra layer but didn’t like it.

Made pad for more upright challenge hurricane and am experimenting with more layers in posterior (mine) area to possibly relieve recumbutt.

Sheeeeesh I’m no seamstress with electrical ties.
