Along-the-Way Tools/Replacement Parts to Carry for a Q45 Road Trip??

Hello, folks. I'm about to take my Q45 to Tulsa and back (from Oklahoma City, that's 120 miles each way) over May 1-4 as a test trip for the upcoming Oklahoma Freewheel and then RAGBRAI. I know to take stuff to fix flats and a replacement tube or two, but...is there anything else I might take so as to fix little things that might go wrong? Really, my main concern is the derailler--it's brand new and I know it's reliable, but I'm not familiar with how to fix the shifting mechanism and I get the feeling from riding it that if for whatever reason the shifter breaks, the bike is nearly unrideable if you can't change the gears as you're going along. Suggestions...?? Thanks!

I suggest watching the Park Tools video on adjusting shifting, just to know how to do it. If your limit screws are set right you should not even need a screwdriver during your trips. You can use the barrel adjuster to fine tune but should not have to if your shifting is spot on now.

I suggest taking basic bike tools, like a fold-up hex wrench set or multi-tool or both. I carry a mini pump for my regular rides.

I rode Freewheel before and they had a bike mechanic available. After leaving a break I had a flat a few hundred yards. The mechanic was there so I turned around and walked my bike over. Before long the mechanic fixed my flat and even had a tube.

Got it, thanks! Those videos were very helpful.
