Any Forbidden Compounds?

Hello all experienced builders,

I will be assembling a Silvio soon. Are there any known compounds that damage any part of the Silvio? I often use silicone spray, teflon lubricant spray, bearing grease, WD-40, lithium grease, graphite, motor oils, light oils, and etc., etc., etc., ad infinitium. If there are any rules, please tell me now.

Thanks, Doc

Hello, Doc,

Silvio parts are fairly normal stuff, just arranged differently.

Keep solvents under control, as with any painted or composite surfaces. There's not much on the frame (well, nothing, really) that will benefit from lubrication or surface preparation. If you remove fasteners that use Loctite, you mat want to make sure there is some available when those fasteners are reinstalled.

Components will need lubrication as for any bicycle.

Enjoy the build and the ride.

Best,

Doug
