Anyone going to Calvin’s for 2018

Noticed on bentrider that Calvin’s is back this year. May 4-5.

I was originally going to go, but am attending the Raven Rock Ramble on the same weekend near Raleigh, NC. I think Jim, Maria, Doug & Nancy Klein will all be there on their Cruzbikes, maybe some others too. A nice leisurely Century ride!

Hi, I do plan to ride Calvins as my first 12 hour for 2018. As to Raven Rock Ramble, since Larry and/or Jim won KOM (or similar) for the overall century, "leisurely" may or may not be descriptive.

I have not registered yet. It is on my calendar. I have been training with the 12hour in mind. Calvin's has a new owner, a new course, with new records to set.

Update: I have still not registered. Website says registration closed last Saturday. Looks like my weekend end is free. I'm really upset.

Update (2 hours later): I spoke to the race organizer and they opened registration for a small window for me to register.

Hey Ken, that is terrific news! We have a gray KIA with the license plate "Sir Dude" (the car's name, not mine!) and my wife will be providing full support. If you want her help prepping bottles etc., she will be happy to help you!!
