Years ago based on a friendly challenge I climbed 30,000' in like 15hrs on my DF back before I had ever even knew such a thing as Everesting was a thing. So after this past weekends 10,000' ride I was thinking if anyone had ever "Everested" on a CruzBike?
So I looked up the "official" rules and even thought a few of them seem a little odd one stands out as ridiculous. Yes you guessed it, no recumbents or electric bikes. Yes, recumbents have been paired up along side electric bikes as none eligible for "official" Everesting.
As much as I'd love to crush their Everesting record on the Vendetta and run thier face in it. I know that's just not going to happen on a bike that's most likely close to 10lbs heavier then the feather weight climbing DF bikes used in the challenge.
Anyone want to be the voice of reason and ask them why they feel a recumbent isn't qualified for the challenge? I feel I'm just not kind enough to word such a request in such a way that won't cause a defense reaction.
