Bottom Bracket Size (OD) Compatibility with S30 (or V20) BB Clamps

I’ve come to learn that there are (at least) a couple of common standards with regard to outer diameter (OD) for bottom brackets. I think that the stock (FSA?) BB my S30 has an OD of 44 mm. I have some spare Shimano and FSA external bearing bottom brackets in my garage that I’d like to try, but they all seem to have an OD of 41 mm.

I saw this topic discussed in a 2015 thread here on the forum, but I wasn’t sure if there was a definitive answer to the following question: Will the Cruzbike bottom bracket clamps work (tighten sufficiently) with the common 41mm OD bottom brackets?

I used an ultegra 6800 series bottom bracket on a core edition 2017 vendetta. I made aluminium shims from aluminium tube. . Fixed. And worked long term. 30,000 klm. Nil issue.

Do not try to overtighten to make up space you will break the clamps.
