Buying v20 in Europe

Gabriel Mensi at Cycles Bentoline was very helpful when I bought a Cruzbike T50 frameset from him in May 2020.
The transaction was all done via email, in English.
I paid in euro via IBAN international bank payment. My bank did not charge a fee and they seemed to use a fair exchange rate from euro to GBP.
Gabriel will also take PayPal but he has to pass on the 35€ fee to the buyer. I've no clue how good or bad PayPal's € to £ exchange rate is.
The T50 frameset was shipped to the UK via La Poste / Colissimo. The French equivalent of Royal Mail / Parcelforce. The carriage took longer than I would normally have expected for a package coming from the EU. Though maybe the delay was due to Covid-19 and Brexit?

My experience with Cycles Bentoline: they didn't even reply to me last year when I tried to aquire a Q45. I bought it straight from Cruzbike in the end, since although in Europe, I'm not in the EU, so it was the same if I ordered it from USA as from the EU.

It's a shame since I planned to pick the bike up myself and make a roadtrip out of it. Maybe some other time, when the Q45 & S40 get boring. Hopefully that will not be so soon, my wallet can't take it anymore, I've spent a more on bikes in the last few years then I've spent on cars.

As it should be. Now if I could convince my wife of that I might be able to get a used s30 or s40. Last vehicle purchase that wasn’t for parts was $4000 CAD

They ask me how much it cost and I tell them. They say "Blimey, you could have got a car for that money!"

Damn. If only I had known.

The fun-o-meter on my car/minivan doesn’t go nearly as high as the one on [any of] my [five] bike. Contrary to popular opinion it is a more complex gauge than a speedometer or the decibel reading.

Hi Gert
Don't forget to ask Cruzbike to add your details to their dealers list in the "International" section. ;)
