I fabricated a carbon fiber headrest for the Vendetta. The production aluminum headrest was quite a bit higher than the custom headrest. The production headrest pushed my head forward and did not allow my upper torso to fully recline. As a result I did not have upper torso support on the seat.
I changed both height and angle of the headrest to achieve the seat support I had hoped for with this bike. With modifications of a drop bullhorn and headrest I am now more reclined with excellent seat support. I have also lowered my head and shoulder height which is an aero benefit.
The carbon fiber headrest is very strong with the beveled edge and slightly lighter weight than the aluminum bars.
