Naps are not bad, especially if you are +50.
Recently, I've been getting more into longer rides, and to fuel up for them I will eat a couple of handsful of nuts a bit before the ride. For hydration during the ride I will drink one or two 750ml sports drinks mixed with a Monster Energy drink. If I am just doing a casual ride with the boys then it often entails a coffee shop with large selection of pastries of the glaze or chocolate brownie variety. Preferably both.
