My level of incompetence is legendary, so I may be the only one who has had this problem. Sometimes when I role the bike backward while the bike is in low gear. The chain will drop off the inside and jam between the chainreing and the frame.
I am old and slow, so I spend a lot of time in low gear.
My solution was to put a hose clamp aroung the bottom bracket frame on the drive side. This catches the chain an keeps it from jaming.
This may be a solution for no one elses problem But there you go.
