If you are in a bind and have some old parts, you can make your own seat post for use with your conversion kit.
I used an "old" straight post (28mm OD x 21mm ID), cut the head off and screwed in a 4" long 1/2" nom. pipe nipple (USA NP) then drilled and pinned it secure.
