Clamp for headrest tube

I am looking for just the clamp to fit the extendable tube behind the seat that the headrest mounts to on an S40. I want to drill a couple holes in one to mount an Ortlieb seat bag...the mount from the bag stays and the bag can slide out when needed. Does Cruzbike offer just the clamp?

Do you mean the this? If so, someone here may have an older scissor-style clamp available. Otherwise contact Cruzbike directly, they may have one laying about.

You could use the Performance Adjustable Headrest for changing attachments.

A good idea to use the existing headrest clamp for 2X duty, but it’s in the wrong position to fit my bag...CB responded with the same thought. I think I will take to a machine shop and see if they can duplicate the clamp. Cruzbike may want to offer just the clamp in the future...very handy mount point for many things behind the seat.

Are you thinking of making a quick release for this bag? If so, I’m concerned that drilling holes will cause a weak point and failure of the tubing. Maybe you’d like to modify a Suspension Adjustable Headrest?

Personally I would use a bag/holster system.

I have an adjustable headrest now but it is not in the correct position to fit the bag. Using another clamp is my thought. The picture doesn’t show it very clearly, but the bag has a slide in and latch system..and isn’t big/heavy enough to mess with the tubes.
