Click Stand

Yes, you will find several archive threads on this product. I have one that I carry with my Silvio, but I must say that I have only used it once. It is a very well engineered device; however, what I have used consistently is the supplied bungee loop for the brake. There is always something around to lean on.

Are they sturdy enough to

Are they sturdy enough to support a touring loaded sofrider ?
On the subject, what are good double leg kickstands for sofriders ? I had bought a pair of civia but they were too short. I don't know how that could be possible, but maybe they are made for 24" wheels.

I've been considering these

I've been considering these too. I'm worried I'm putting too much weight on the chain stays with the conventional kickstand.

But my feeling is that the cost is hard to justify. They aren't very cheap.

Click Stand

I have been using the ClickStand for about 3 years.

When the bike is not fully loaded it works fine in the front. When I have all my bags on the softrider / conversion kit, then I find it works to put it towards the back, right at the support for the rear rack.

It works well for the Silvio also, I have not had any issues with it slipping.

I managed to improvise by

I managed to improvise by cutting up some PVC tubing that was lying around (about an inch in diameter) and putting in a rubber stopper at one end. The length is around 2 feet so not so long I need to fold it. I hold it on the bike with a portable pump holder that was lying around as well. I use a cable tie adjusted to the right length to hold the brakes in place.

I painted the tube all black so it didn't look too bad.

The click-stand is a more elegant solution though.

Synchronity?

In another thread
http://www.cruzbike.com/i-ordered-silvio...built-it-...and-my-first-ride?page=2
, there is a discussion about the UpStand
http://upstandingbicycle.com/upstand-bike-stand/
which seems to do a very similar job but may be lighter. Maybe a little more secure if the Cruzbike is accidently knocked by someone pushing past it too?

Click Stand

I just received my new Clickstand and I have used it once and I like it. I have mounted it on my boom out front for easy access. Here is a picture of it on my Silvio.
