Convert S40 to a 1x11 or 1x12

Hi I have a 2017 S40 that has a sram drive train 2x10 drive chain. I want to convert it to a 1x11 or 1x12 and get rid of the front shifter. Has anyone done this? If so could you tell me what would work on the S40 and where I can get it?
Thanks

I use a cheap square taper short (150mm) crankset with a very cheap ali express narrow/wide chainring. Shimano GRX 11spd rear mech.
Worth thinking about short cranks if your having to change them. There are threads on here about them.

The source UK BMX shop. Heres the link but you should find something similar if your in US.
Also, you have to have the correct freehub but Sram do cassettes down to 10 tooth which can be handy with a 1X setup if your a faster rider. I get away with a 42 tooth front ring and 42-11 tooth cassette but am not worried about speed and I've always been a spinner. I can pedal at 50km/h pretty comfortably. I can also get up shorter 15% or so hills no problem.
Hope thats some help.

Could you tell me what 2 chain rings you had up front and what cassette ? I want to get more range and the 1x11 is not the answer for me. If you have brands and specs that would really help. Thanks

I converted a 2016 V20 to a 1x system, moving my 2x to an S40 frame.
That 2x SRAM (cabled GX with MTB shifters) was (10-42) x 34-50. Gear Inches 21.05-129.92 (617%)
My 1x (SRAM AXS) is 10-52 x 46. Gear Inches 24-124 (520%) and I rarely ask the bike for more range.
My shopping was a hodgepodge of Amazon, REI, Jensen, RotorAmerica, and others. If you're not very adventurous, sticking with your LBS would be a good idea.

I have a 2022 S40 that I bought as a frameset. I installed the at the time 2X 52/36 (I think) with 11 speed cassette.
Now for my question:
I would like to change over to a 1X 12 speed with a 44/10 cassette.
Now the constraint, I have a GSX Stages Crank Arm Power meter I want to use. So I need a crank set that is GSX 68mm with BSA 68mm bb. After much research I can’t find a GSX Crankset w/165mm crank arms. Try to find a 12 speed front chain ring compatible with SRAM Force 1X Derailleur and the GSX BB ELUDES ME. The rub is that the 11 speed 4 bolt Rival/Apex crankset appears impossible to find a 12 speed front sprocket that will convert to SRAM flat top chain.
Any one have any experience in solving this or a similar 11 to 12 speed conversion.
