For sale is my Cruzbike S40 Recumbent Bicycle, which is in excellent condition.

The 2019 frameset was imported from Cruzbike in California, USA, and was professionally assembled into a fantastic bike by Fred Salmon.

This bike is built with top-of-the-line components, including:

• Hope "Hoops" Hubs
• Hope '20five' Rims
• Schwalbe Marathon Plus Tires
• SRAM 1x11 Groupset, consisting of:
o SRAM Apex Front Chainring (42T)
o SRAM Rival Cassette (10T > 42T)
• SRAM Rival Road Shifter
• TRP Spyre Mechanical Disc Brakes
• SKS Mudguards
• Standard, plus unused Tall Cruzbike Headrest Tubes
• Cruzbike Pannier Frame
• Cruzbike ‘Sling Pack’ Frame Bag
• Cruzbike Water Bottle Holder
• Cruzbike Headrest
• Cruzbike Headrest Light Mount

The drop handlebar steering design is fully adjustable to fit a wide range of heights. The very comfortable recumbent seat features a length-adjustable carbon base, including the standard Cruzbike Foam Cushion and an additional (excellent) Ventisit Comfort Mesh Seat Pad, which can be used year-round, won't absorb water, and resists UV degradation.

Height adjustment works the same way as all other Cruzbike recumbents, via the handlebar boom. A large range of adjustment is available. For context, the original owner, who imported the frame and had the bike professionally built, was 6'5" and the bike fit him well. It is currently set up for me at 5'11" with an inside leg measurement of 31", and it fits me perfectly. The bike is designed to fit riders between 5'2" and 6'5", but there’s still some extra room beyond that, so I believe the manufacturer is conservative in their sizing.

The S40 comes with the optional Cruzbike Touring Pannier Frame, though no panniers are included. It's ready for a ride around your local park or even a world tour.

The Cruzbike Sling Pack, which sits under the frame, is included and ideal for storing daily essentials like a puncture kit, tubes, and a mobile phone.

The bike has just over 500 miles on it under my ownership, all on and around the Nebraska cycle path and local roads, so it's barely broken in.

Cruzbikes take a little time to get used to due to the front-wheel-drive setup, but once you're comfortable, you'll find they climb as well as any traditional bike. The design allows you to use your upper body to countersteer and add pedaling effort, which is a unique feature of Cruzbike’s drive system.

The only reason I’m selling is that I’m using my other Bacchetta Aero Ti recumbent more often for my weekday rides, which are relatively flat. I typically cover around 32 miles per ride for fitness and mental health. The S40 is honestly a bit much for my current route and would be better suited for social rides with the 40-degree seat angle or even a Grand Tour. Many people take these bikes on global trips, and this one is built to handle anything you throw at it.

The total cost of importing and building the bike was over $4000, so it is very competitively priced at a reduced price of $2400. Try to find another one at this price with this specification!

Feel free to come view the bike before I change my mind, overrule the boss (Wife), and keep it…

Hi Animemixnmatch
what country are you in? Sounds like UK, but your price comes through in $ not UK£.

Simon
Hi Simon, ! I’m actually based in the US, which might be causing the currency mix-up

But I can confirm it’s priced at $2400.

The conclusion of the V20 post was that it was a scam.
