Current drivetrain specs on a complete T50?

What are the current specs on a complete T50? This is what I found on the web site but I did find some conflicting information. Mostly referring to 8 speed components.

Cassette: 9 speed 11-34
Shifters: 9 speed
Crank: 155 mm with 38T single chain ring
Wheels: 26", hub spacing 100 mm back, 130 mm front

If I get a frame set, should I consider different crank lengths?

Is the frame for disk brakes only? I assume so but was curious.

Thanks, Rick

My $.02 worth.
I am 6'2" and have a 155mm crank, works great. Probably I could live with 150-160mm. So if you buy the stock build, don't plan on changing the crank until you have got a bunch of miles on the bike and can make an informed decision about pro's and con's.

If you get the frame set, then its a little hard to find 2x cranks that are shorter than 165mm but there are several options. Some name brands like Rotor and Cobb offer cranks in this length range. And Bike Smith will shorten some cranks. 1x Cranks are very easy to find shorter, as the BMX crowd use them, and they can be had for under $100. I used a BMX crank, elliptical 1x chain ring, and upgraded BB.

I believe you can use rim brakes on a T50, but I have not done it myself, so check with Cruzbike. It might depend on wheel and tire size.

You can use either the 26 inch, or 650B, or 700C wheels. But the tire size has to be reduced the larger you go. As an example I am running 26 x 1.9 and have room to spare, but a 700 x 28mm is about the limit in that size.

But I would never recommend rim brakes! Go for the disks.

Mark, thanks for all the good information. I feel competent to assemble a bike but making sure all the components work together is a different story. I agree on the disk brake recommendation. My first experience with disk brakes is my Terratrike and I think they're great too.

I also sent my question to Cruzbike and I will post what I hear back. I just wanted to verify the current T50 components.

On the T-50, you'll find that the bottom of your thighs might connect with your rim brakes on the front forks. If you were to attach saddle bags for touring, like those made by Radical Designs, they would compress the rim brakes in the rear. For the geometry, disc brakes are the way to go.
