This is an attractive discount, however since it does not apply to all models it makes me wonder why the price reduction. It could be sales are slow, but also sometimes companies put old models on sale to reduce inventory before a new model is introduced so I wonder if there might be some change coming to the Vendetta design. I would ask Cruzbike, but imagine they would not be inclined to offer an explanation.

New model/updated model. Hmm, could be. That still would be an awesome price reduction. I think you did just ask Cruzbike. They fairly frequently respond on this - their forum. Even more often they use ideas and improvements to design, suggestions and incorporate them into new models.

Maybe they are just offering a good deal to get people on their bikes. They do this from time to time. If I hadn’t found mine used a few months ago I would be jumping on this deal. I wouldn’t read any more into it. If they were selling old stock due to a new model coming out I bet they would say so up front.

Hoping for an updated model. More color options would be welcomed. Thru axles would be nice. A way to hide cables from the wind. If they had a discounted frameset right now I would be tempted.
