Do you want to make 'bents more popular? Do you want to make the world healthier?

Note to forum admin: This is a post essentially about a competing manufacture. I explain in the post why I think this is relevant for us, but I'll understand if you feel otherwise and remove the post. The big point is that I think this is an opportunity to get recumbents more visible in the US and that is something that would benefit all manufactures. This is a copy of a post I made on BROL.

Hi,

This thread is supposed to have a catchy enough subject that you'll click here.

Chonk of Terratrike has posted twice (once in the general forum and once on the trike forum on BROL) about a chance for Terratrike to get a Superbowl ad.

Long-story-short: Click here and vote for them. You can vote for them once every day (and you can do it once a day from each browser you have on every computer you have (work, home, ipad, S.O.s iPad, etc).

Why do I think this is important?

I don't own a Terratrike, nor have I talked to Chonk about this (other than my replies in the two threads above), so I haven't been given any compensation for this.

And, as far as 'bents are concerned, I don't care which company would get the spot. But right now, it's Terratrike that can get it, and a spot during the Super Bowl would go a long way to introducing people to the idea of recumbent bicycles. And anything that gets Americans off of their @$$e$ and outside exercising is a good thing for, well, America (even if it is just back on their @$$e$ on a trike)!

So, Click here, look at the video (which is not the ad, but rather why you should vote for them, and then vote for them. Every day. As often as you can.

So, those of you from Chicago, you know what to do (vote early, vote often). For the rest of you, I'm sure you can do it too.

Cheers,
Charles

Hi Andrew,
I'm not

Hi Andrew,

I'm not disagreeing with you, but you need a couple mill to get a super bowl ad to air. Even if we started a KickStarter campaign, I don't think we're going to get there... :D

Cheers,
Charles

Yep

It's an expensive 30 seconds, and Protect Your What-What would require 3x that amount. Not to speak ill of football fans (I am a Steelers fan after all) but most don't have the attention span for a minute-and-a-half commercial.

That reminds me...

I had a rather odd dream last night where I was telling my daughter about the advantages of riding a Cruzbike compared to an upright. In my dream, I clearly remember giving the pitch:

"Do you want to ride faster and further than you've ever dreamed possible without the aches and pains that are associated with cycling?"

Wow...I need to spend some time away from this site.
