I recently obtained some cash and a conversion kit in exchange for my off-road-ready Rans Vivo and have been looking at donor bikes. My lbs has a Giant Sedona DS that looks just perfect and is in good condition. I'm wondering if anyone out there has done a conversion on one of these before. The quest for the workable recumbent mtb goes on. The Vivo was great for dirt roads, but the 20" wheels meant lots of carrying over things in the woods.

Sedona ds

Did you ever Build the Sedona ds Cruzbike? If so I'd love to see a picture.

I'm building one right now on a 17 inch frame.

I'm waiting for the Sclumpf mtn drive to come back from getting installed in the bottom bracket and the Nuvinci hub from the wheel builder.

The sedona will need a quil converter on the stem (it's threaded) .

I purchased a used kit which had the seat mount cut in half. so I mounted one half on the forward sloping tube and the other half on the reward slope below the headtube.

The seat tube is huge so I pressed a smaller seat tube with a reduced end into it to fit seat pivot clamp.

The fork tubes have little bosses right where the drop out clamps need to be. I filed those off. If they were centered I would have used them instead if the clamps.

The cables are terrible quality and will be replaced.

So far everything looks to fit like it belongs.
