Donor bike

That's it

DF mountain bike donors when converted have more of a Softrider or Quest feel to them. Now to my eye, that begins to feel more like a Vendetta than most donor bikes.

Perfect marriage!  THAT looks

Perfect marriage! THAT looks really nice, and streamlined! Kinda' an expensive donor tho.

Leaving the rear freewheel on back gives me an idea! :)
Leaving the front crank where it is, in its FWD duties, re-install the original crank, and seat, and put on some long pedal extensions...

You've got one HEAVY rear-ended tandem, and a fairly wierd seating arrangement!

That's not a completely crazy idea for a home build. I sometimes ride my Sofrider with a tag-a-long bike where my daughter pedals, too. I think it would be great to get a tandem whre both parties have their own drive wheel..

Charles,

How well does the Rans coversion climb versus the Softrider? How do you like the more reclined position?

Hi,
It's not my conversion.

Hi,

It's not my conversion. I believe it's Nanda's. I just found the pictures on the interwebs... :)

(I should have been more clear before...)

Cheers,
Charles
