DuPont Chain-Saver

DuPont Chain-Saver is very good. I sprayed a new chain around April 15, cleaned it and put a second coat of wax on the chain about May 1, and I meant to put a third coat on, but didn't get around to it until after I got caught in a downpour with 10 miles to ride two days ago. Approximately 2,000 miles and it still worked well. Application, I used the red 'spray straw', but still I stuck a paper barrier between the wheel spokes and the chain/derailleur to catch overspray. Then let it dry for a few minutes, and wiped the chain with a paper towel. https://www.walmart.com/ip/DuPont-M...sed-Self-Cleaning-Dry-Lubricant-11oz/16672659

The brake pads I put on my Campy side-pull brakes are terrible in the rain; need to find something better.

Interesting product - and it looks like it works well. You would probably like Molten Speed Wax even better. https://moltenspeedwax.com/
When you dip the entire chain into a pot of hot wax it adhears to it better than spraying something on the surface.

I have a bag of Molten Speed Wax, but have not tried it yet. Ingredients on the bag say paraffin wax, Dupont PTFE, and Molybdenum formula. I have two full chains and want to use the Molten Wax on the second chain, do a comparison. The DuPont spray penetrates pretty well, drives out dark matter from between chain plates.
