Family Truckster s40

Been riding my s40 around so much I have to start carrying things. I'm thinking a laptop computer and/or a small backpack. I see that there is an s40 rack in the back for $145. How much weight? I'm not looking to move mountains but I need some idea.

Cruzbike lists the weight as 2 pounds. I got one for mine, and that would appear to be accurate.

Stop adding weight when you see the tires start to bulge (it's what I always did when loading gravel into the bed of my pick-up truck) - so it has to work!

On the Q45 I carry a child which has around 15kg with the child seat - no problem. No reason the S40 rack should be worse than that.

I misunderstood - it’s pretty stout. I haven’t used it to carry anything yet, but I’d guess it will easily hold what my rack on my df touring bike holds, rated at 55 pounds.

Got it this week and went on first ride with it. It’s great. Highly recommend. I was able to take breakfast and lunch to office!
