Finally Conquered the E-Vile Gravel Driveway!

This afternoon, I returned from my usual 20-mile ride to the base of the gravel driveway, stopped at the mailbox and
stuffed the mail into my jersey.

From a dead stop, with the chain on the big 52-tooth front ring and in 2nd gear, I took
off as fast -and as strongly- as I could and made a dash to the base of the steep hill.
The hill I had never succeeded in EVER climbing on the Cruzbike.

To my amazement, today, for the first time, I found myself successfully muscling
the bike over the crest of the hill...without even closing up my position on the seat!

No dabbing of the toes...not much drive wheel slip...and no walking.

I made it.
I finally conquered the E-Vile gravel driveway.
:D

Congrats. I just conquered the uphill start on the road in front of my house. At least once. Not without a wobble, but I did it.

  I thought of it more as an outrigger, as opposed to training wheel, but yeah, they are fun!
