Heart Rate Monitors

ok enough irritations for a season. Fifth pair of Jabra pulse ear buds have stopped working. I have two sets that I keep sending back. I think the system is unreliable for recumbent riding. Don't know what it is? Perhaps it's because the head is laid back and the sweat just runs into the ears. I am loath to wear anything around my chest or wrist. So what else is there? Is there a button Bluetooth HR device I can just stick over my jugular or what?

Emmm... Reviews not so good for the senseOn. It seems to come unstuck

So Bose have come into the earbud arena just at the right time... And they have designed them to be sweat proof and weather proof so I shall give these a go

They are Bose Soundsport pulse wireless.

If I had to get a strap it would be power tap but I just don't like anything around my chest.

Still debating about a power meter on the pedals.

Heart rate was ideal with wireless earbuds. Listen to music whilst working out, take calls without having to stop :D

Just friggin irritating that manufacturers don't realize that pulse earbuds have to be sweat proof

When the earbuds are working... It's perfect

Jabra are excellent when they work but they aren't sweat proof.

I haven't tried Bose yet... They only have just released their version and I want something that works. Their wireless soundsport earbuds 2nd version - after recall- are designed to be sweat proof, not sure about their pulse wireless offering as its only been released recently.

Hey Bob,

That helmet certainly looks cooler than the Giro Air Attack Shield with all those vents. It also has a plastic accessory that snaps over the lid to make it an aero helmet when you need to go to the races. I also would enjoy the extra battery life.

I wonder if any recumbent rider has tried it?

So then you have the visor issue... Going 50 to 60kph ... Ordinary cycling glasses aren't enough. LOL

I did read on dcrainmaker that someone had moved the technology from one helmet onto another.

Deliberating Dave... Guess this will be my new nickname
