High Speed takes it all, Clean Sweep!

Last night’s Team Time Trial was a Donnybrook (look it up). There was enough wattage from the Cruzbike crews to power a small house for a month. And in the end? High Speed came storming through, taking no prisoners and grabbing their first-ever clean sweep!

Those watching saw it all. That “wa-BOOM” sound heard at 8:01 PM EDT? That was High Speed breaking the sound barrier.

Half the High Speed team increased their Zwift Racing Scores… in a race that doesn’t even calculate ZRS. Yep—those gains were all personal bests, no algorithm magic.

So it was a runaway?
No, no, no—NOPE.

The Fighting Chicks went toe to toe with High Speed to the line. Claire Rushton—yes, that Claire of MarGaRita fame—drove the Chicks to a photo finish, just one hundredth of a second behind a grateful (and very depleted) High Speed team.

So how fast were the Chicks?
Fast. Like, world-ranked 5th in their WTRL category fast.

And what about the Sticky Bottles, who had practically engraved their name on the crown before the race even started? Well, that tune changed fast. Just two hours before the race, High Speed announced Captain Otto would, in fact, race. Meanwhile, the Cruzbike Chicks quietly slid Claire into the lineup. The Stickies’ confidence wavered—but not their spirit.

And y’all know—winning isn’t just about who crosses first. There’s a whole other battle going on at the back. That’s what makes a clean sweep so rare.

While the Chicks were brawling at the front, the rear guard quietly handled business, sliding past the Stickies and locking down what looked like a solid second-place finish.

The Chicks, maybe new to this no-holds-barred racing style, didn’t go for the knockout, and the Stickies? Oh, they noticed. With Rat and Greg just a tick ahead, and Jim hiding like a ninja in the Chicks’ draft, nobody saw it coming.

BOOM—Jim pips the gals at the line in another photo finish, locking down second place for the Sneakies.

And that one meant something: a quick fact-check confirms that Sticky Bottles remain the only CVRT team that hasn’t been “chicked” by the Chicks.

“I’ll turn in my bike,” someone said in the Sticky team chat.
“Ain’t no gurl gonna chick me!”

Next week, Team Low Drag re-enters the fray, and we hope a few more of y’all looky-loos might jump in too.

Until then—keep working on those bike upgrades. You're gonna need'em.
