How do I swap the long/short Quest chainstay?

There is a three piece bolt joining the chainstay to the TFT sleeve. How do I get this three piece bolt out?

One way from memory is to

One way from memory is to remove the bolt, reverse it then hit it with a hammer (avoiding to damage the paint). Its not usual to disassemble the frame. The can be very tight, you want a really good reason for wanting to remove it.

Just did that

I just did that on a Quest v1 that I was rehabbing.

I used two long arm allen wrench to crack the bolt. Sort arm wrenches didn't have enough leverage to defeat the frozen bolt in the cone. After the bolt was out, I had to spray some lube under the lip of the cone. I let that work in and then gently removed the cone using a rubber pad to protect the frame and jewelers screw driver to get under the lip and get it started. After pulling the cones there were two metal collars that I also removed.

Cleaned up all the parts (had to soak the metal collars in coke over night they were rusted badly) Greased everything up and reassembled with the new chain stay. I did put a little lock-tite blue on the cone bolt to ensure it doesn't wiggle loose given the nature of this type of swap out.

Took about 10 minutes to carefully disassemble without damage.
