How many chains???

I frequent the BROL (bent riders online) forum. Recently there was a discussion on how to determine chain length. For me the real question is: on a RWD bent, how many chains? (and what do they weigh, and cost?) Us cruzbikers can answer the chain question: ONE! I really get a kick out of some of the lowracer pictures, long low, 15 feet of chain dragging the ground. And I wonder, is there a micro-second delay from coasting to pedaling with that long saggy chain?
Just sayin, we cruzbikers are fortunate to have such a sensible design!

I agree ! I was a looooong chain bent rider until I discover the genius of the Cruzbike front wheel drive. I started with the Kit, then use the Quest for 2 years. Finally I designed a special "fast freight" commuter looking weird but very efficient for long commuters. The "CFF". Cruzbike Fast Freight (posted on the forum). Front Wheel Drive is not the the future of recumbents. It is already the present !
