-going uphill, against the wind.
Of course, I had a slight advantage.
My bike is a Cruzbike V1, modified with a 52-42-30 triple chainring....
His bike was a recumbent tricycle, he was carrying panniers and he was
at least as old as me.
----
On the same ride, I was slowing for the blind right-hand corners on
the fast downhill sections.
This being Fall, there are a lot of leaves and acorns and black walnuts on the road,
as well as the usual cars cutting the corners.
Good thing I was taking it easy and had my fingers on the brake levers:
the tractor on the road was doing eight miles per hour.
That's two vehicles I passed today:
one recumbent and one powerful diesel!
Oh, and the roadie I see quite often was using the same roads I was using
today, but in a different order and also going the opposite way.
I waved, 'hi' to him three different times; the last time, I recieved a grin in return.
