Long sleeve recumbent cycling jersey

I ride all day in the hot sun so long sleeve jerseys are a must. Unfortunate I can’t find any made for recumbent cycling, with zipped side pockets and no back pockets. Also I can’t have insulation. Does anyone know of any for sale?

Reverse gear looked good but they seem to be out of action. https://www.reversegearinc.com/product/phoenix-long-sleeve-jersey-men/

Bendit have one but on their website it is only available in small and I am a large. I emailed them and will report back. https://www.benditcycling.com/Bend-It-Cycling-Team-Long-Sleeve-Recumbent-Jersey.html

Thanks for any help.

Have you considered sun sleeves with your short sleeve jersey? I’ve been using them for years and don’t leave home in the summer without them.

I use sun sleeves pretty much year round. I find them more flexible than arm warmers when it's cool/cold. They provide a bit of warmth and easily roll down around my wrists if it gets too hot. I'll add that I only wear them up to about 85F, above that I find them uncomfortably warm and use sun screen instead.

Dumb question: have you actually tried a standard bike jersey with something in one of the back pockets when riding a Cruzbike? For years I've stuck to jerseys that didn't have any back pockets when riding my other recumbents, because putting anything in a back pocket was uncomfortable. But this year riding my S40, I ended up using a regular jersey with something in each of the back (side) pockets, and it totally worked fine for me. Apparently the S40 seat is narrow enough for me that the items in each of the back side pockets (not the middle one) get pushed to the side when I'm leaning back so I'm not resting on them at all. Has worked out great for me, as now I can suddenly buy regular biking jerseys.

I have no idea if this is just a fluke because of my body size, but you might want to try it if you haven't already.

I found that when it gets hot spraying water on the sleeves cools me down.

No problem with regular bike jerseys on the Q45. I just use the side pockets and never thought about it.

I’ve had good luck using light, uninsulated long-sleeve sun shirts and adding small zip pouches on the sides. They breathe well, block sun, and avoid the back-pocket problem.
