The much-anticipated team time trial didn’t disappoint, with all three teams throwing down impressive efforts. In the end, Low Drag took the top spot, beating High Speed by 37 seconds, while High Speed edged out Sticky Bottles by 36 seconds—a tight race all around.
From the start, Low Drag looked smooth and in control. Their pacing was on point, with Capt. Hawkman keeping the pressure steady all the way to the line. It wasn’t an explosive ride, but it didn’t need to be—just disciplined, efficient, and relentless. With 3.5 km to go, they reeled in Sticky Bottles, moving past them with authority and cruising to the finish.
Meanwhile, High Speed gave it everything to stay in the fight. Capt. Otto hit the gas from the start, setting a strong tempo that kept Low Drag honest. But in the end, they couldn’t quite erase the six-minute handicap that Low Drag had been given at the start.
Sticky Bottles put in a solid ride of their own. They stayed in the mix, but their hopes were dashed when High Speed surged past them with 3 km to go. From there, it was all about damage control, holding off the chasing NZBRO Go-Go Pepe Le Pews.
At the end of the day, it was all about execution. Low Drag rode smart, High Speed kept the pressure on, and Sticky Bottles hung tough. The margins were tight, but in a TTT, every second counts—and Low Drag earned every one of them.
Final Standings:
Low Drag – 1st place
High Speed – +37 sec
Sticky Bottles – +1:13
