Hi folks. I have tried several cell phone mounts on the horizontal portion of the Q45handlebars and none can be moved far enough away for me to see my phone. (I need reading glasses anything less than a foot or so away.) So I am hoping to mount my phone on the (very large diameter) boom, enabling viewing well out of the way. Does anyone have examples or ideas to share ? Thanks

I don't know much about a q45 but the Quadlock Roll Cage mount might work for you.

Have you tried changing the magnification on your eye glasses. Try cheap reading glasses in 1-2.5 power. My phone brackets are mounted on the handle bars. I have sunglasses with magnification on the top of the lens for my V20 and glasses with the magnification on the bottom of the lenses when riding my Q45E.
