I purchased a new S40 in July. I like the feel of the bike. It is much easier to handle then my previous Silvio 2. However I was unable to ride it for more than 30 minutes without beginning to feel a pain in my butt. So I went between the Silvio and the S 40 hoping that it was a need for conditioning my body to a new bike. Well that didn't happen. So I contacted Robert Holler to see if he had any ideas. He suggested extending the seat pan out as far as it would go and add some padding at the tip of the seat pan. So I did but did not like the squishiness of the padding.
So I came up with another solution. I had previously ordered a foam pad to increase the back of the seat by 15 degrees. I wanted to see if I liked the more upright position of the S40 before ordering the new bike. So I used this on the Silvio. However I didn't like the foam and quit using it. So I cut off about 3 and 1/2 inches of the foam which has a curved shape to it and placed on the S40 with the velcro attachment. It works perfectly and I really like it. I have enclosed photos to show what it looks like.
