I'm swamped and I need something quick and dirty. I'm busting my arse trying to get ready to leave for a few weeks to visit my sister and it seems like every tiny little iron I see in a match flame seems to be attached to a double size I-beam stuck in the sun. Given my issues with upgrading my Tiara, I thought I might just strip the kit off, put it in my luggage and have a bike delivered to my sister's so I can have my nephew help me put the kit on a new bike and I can ride with him some.
I had my eyes set on a Huffy Avarice, but they seem to have dried up (Huffy seems to have quit making them a while back) in the last couple of weeks. What would be a good steel frame dual suspension 26" that I could get for under $200 without having to run all over looking again? Preferably one that I can upgrade the chain rings to 52/xx or 53/xx fairly easily.
Yes, at this point it would be smarter to get a Sofrider, but for various reasons (including why I'm busting the old arse) my free cash is tied up and we don't want to drop a grand right now.
And no, don't even talk Silvio to me yet. My initial budget on that one is $3k and I bet there is plenty of advice here to take that one higher.
