Hello everyone.
Based on our conversation over on the "Cruzbike RAAM Team", I have gotten a few details about the PAC tour.
Web page: ?http://www.pactour.com/elite.html
Briefly it is a 2 week tour from May 11 - May 29 - 2015
It leaves San Diego, Cal and ends up in Tybee Island, Georgia. 2850 miles.
Finishers are automatically qualified for RAAM
The cost apparently depends on the group size, and I have not figured out if it is the entire group that has registered or if is it a specific group of people that register together.
Pricing from the web site shows this:
.............
Elite Transcontinental Tour
Under 14 riders $5,500
15-16 = $5,000
17-18 = $4,700
19-20 = $4,300
21-22 = $4,000
23-24 = $3,800
25-26 = $3,600
27-28 = $3,500
29-30 = $3,400
31 & over = $3,300
Single supplement is additional = $900
.............
I have emailed Lon and Susan to get clarification this, and will post to the forum with any other information I receive.
This is something that I was already thinking about doing, but kind of forgot about it lately.
Thanks to Blair for the headsup and reminder.
I think this would be an absolutely fantastic way for the group of us to meet each other and ride together for an extended period of time.
Sure - it is a little pricey (but not like RAAM would be), but if we could really manage to get 30+ of us involved, the price goes down considerably!
Who knows?
Chime in - lets see who has some interest!!
Larry
