Photo Albums

Hello All,

The Yahoo Group has some excellent and valuable photos in its album structure.

While I'm going to maintain the group as it is, I'd like to see most of our activity transfer to this forum.

Since there's no "album" functionality here, I tried putting the contents of an album into a post about the red bike. Let me know how that works for you; we all would need some type of off-site storage for this to work.

Looking to transfer the good things from Yahoo while maximizing the superior forum feature set.

I pondered the photo album thing and I believe keeping the Yahoo sight for that is worth the price of admission. Just leave it there. Personally, I never bothered with it. I have a Photobucket account, which is totally free. I upload all my pictures there and it's real easy to link on the forum.

I would like to agree with Doug.
I could assimilate a side menu of members' bikes and experiences without having to go offsite.
The relationship of members, their bikes, improvements, good ideas with detailed photos or even video links (could be entertaining) all go hand in hand with the Cruzbike "family".
However, I don't know whats involved in setting something like this up but I'm sure it won't be impossible.

The forum currently offers everything you need, in the Brag Board sections you can post about your bike and attach pictures within the message for all to see. This is alot more informative than a photo album with a 1 liner comment like Yahoo offers.

+1, I agree. The photo albums on Yahoo were OK, but sometimes you look at a picture and wonder "why is there a 1938 REO dumptruck on a Cruzbike site?" You have no idea this is somebody's Cruzbike hauler, it's just your plain, old, run of the mill 1938 REO dumptruck.
