i noticed a few people mentioning hitting the file size limit posting pics. Since I do that a lot (go figure), I thought I would point out that if you resize your photo to 800x600 @ 72 dpi they will post here just fine. That 72dpi is a given but I added that incase someone tries to over think it.

Nope. I just tested this to

Nope. I just tested this to be sure. A complex enough and high enough quality image, even 800x600, will exceed the allowed file size and be blocked. And a highly compressed image with larger dimensions will be allowed. Just now I could upload a 305 KB JPEG image, but not a 371 KB one, both 800x600.

On the other hand, here is an image over 4000x2000 that uploads fine.

So what's the answer?

thanks Bob and Jeremy for addressing this. Any other thoughts on uploading pics? Coz as we all know, "without pictures, it never happened" !!

ok now to demonstrate a small bit of my tech ignorance and complete lack of strategery (thanks George!) how would one go about resizing a pic on iPhoto to 800x600@72dpi??

For iphone and ipad.....

For iphone and ipad.....

Use "Simple Resize" for iOS works perfectly. Was going to put the link in but the spam filter hates me today.
On the Mac; I actually just keep a pre-built export for Cruzbike and BROL click; apply; save done. :)

An alternate way, and the one

An alternate way, and the one I use most often, is uploading the photos to an online host like Flickr.com. This way I upload them straight from my phone or computer without doing any dimensional or size adjustments. And then paste their share code URL in the from the little pic icon under "Link".

This is what I paste into the link URL: https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7501/15348383723_bbdb7d0750_c.jpg
