Q-ring compatibility

Just a heads up that if your are considering Q-ring chainrings for your Silvio or Vendetta, don't choose the Ultegra option. The 6700 series is not compatible with Q-rings. The only one they sell (a 50T) that is compatible can only be placed in one position (OCP3) so is not appropriate for a CB as recumbent installation is non-standard. The 6600 series is compatible., but these are (almost) unavailable now.

An option for Q rings....

I decided to go with a 105 triple crankset, as it will take both Q rings as well as a granny gear smaller than 30 teeth. I am using a 52/39 Q Ring and a 26 granny.

However, I needed to use an Ultegra FD as the Shimano FD is limited to 50 teeth. If you wanted to go with a similar setup, you could very easily find a 105 triple crankset for sale at this time of the year?
