Race the Lake

I recently rode this gran fondo. It is called Race the Lake. It is a timed ride around Lake Winnebago in Wisconsin. I think that my bike was the only recumbent in this ride. This is a pic of me during the ride. I hope next year that I can ride it faster then this year.

I got a kick out of the website for the event.
“YOU DO NOT HAVE TO RACE THIS EVENT. DO IT AT YOUR LEISURE. YOU ONLY HAVE TO SUSTAIN A 12.5 MPH SPEED AND HAVE 5 FOOD STATIONS.”
How do I set up 5 food stations?

I wanted to do this event, so I emailed to be sure they allowed recumbents. Their response was NO. Guess it’s better to just sign up, rather than ask!

I didn't see any prohibition against recumbents, but they don't have a 'bent category.
