This thing seems too good to be true. The attached flyer is only slightly informative, but if you email them at ilikebike@bicyclefilmfestival.com, they get back to you explaining everything in greater detail. The basic thing is that they're rounding up 42 people to bike across the country in 55 days. Two groups of 21, as opposed to one huge 42-person group. It's fully supported, and they're taking care of the camping/accommodations/food all along the way. And they're paying people $3,000 a pop to do it. They're PAYING PEOPLE. I'd freaking do it for free.

The way I read it, it's a promotional stunt for a vodka company. You have to wonder how much research they put into their route... Is it safe? Do they avoid major arteries and such? Great opportunity if you were going to do it anyway.... Or are on layoff.

That is the way that I thought I had read it, but I figured that someone might want the challenge. I think I have been "dry" for the last 24 years and don't need to promote the remains of left-over potatoes, so I guess that rules me out. Thanks for sharing the product research. :D

I have an understanding with hard liquor; we leave each other alone, period. Oh.. I have an occasional shot of tequila at Christmas time (though I skipped last year), but that's about it. Now beer.... That's another story. We have no such understanding and we frequently mess with each other.
