S40 to V20 frame compabilty

Just curious to know if the front triangle on the S40 is the same as the V? if you had a V20 frame could you swap over your parts from a S40?

They are the same and indeed the parts could be swapped, with the exception that the S40 requires disc brakes. There might be some redo of cabling as well since the riders poison and the location of the boom/slider will likely be different on each bike even with the same rider.

I think Robert meant to say that S40 can support the installation of disc brakes. I have rim brakes on mine.

Yes i have rim brakes on my S40. The follow up to that question is if is possible to just buy the V20 frame?

Whoops, I read that too quickly too. So going to a V20 you might need shorter reach (standard) brake calipers. But yes, everything else should switch fine with the possibility of needing to re-cable as Robert mentioned.

Can one order the S40 front triangle only (fork, chainstays, BB and boom)? How much would that cost?

Guess i said it kinda of backwards, i was wondering if I could buy only a V20 frame and transfer over everything from my S40.
