side profile differences between Silvio and Vendetta

Dear John, Are there any superimposed photos or drawings of THE multi-world record winning rider on a Silvio, a Vendetta, and a double D on the drops, from the side, and the rear. At 35 kph on flat road, and a still day, have power measurements been done on a Silvio, a Vendetta, and a double D on the drops? Regards Super Slim

Good questions, Super

Good questions, Super Slim,

Its hard to get a good side on shot on race day, because things are pretty hectic when the support vehicle comes alongside, people shouting, trying to manage the vehicle, not have an accident and pass out water etc.

The best I have on file are attached. I don't think I have ever seen a photo of Maria riding a diamond frame road bike.

Doug Burton has collected power figures for Silvio and Vendetta. These are measured at the wheel, so reflect the aero performance. I'd like to have also comparisons of power at the crank.

John, I was thinking more

John,
I was thinking more along the lines of a camera on a tripod, and Maria, on the three bikes in the same position, from the side, and rear, all with one foot at the lowest position, and then superimposed on each other with the Vendetta in Yellow, Silvio in Black, and DD in Red.
The idea is to show how much better the Vendetta Areo is to the DD riders!

My Silvio is about the same speed as a double D with rider 5 Kg lighter than me on the drops, when decending a 5% hill, using the same TWE wheels and Cont 4000s tyres, but he is 2 kph slower on Cont gators and other wheels.
My main advantage is the comfort of my bum, back, kneck, and wrists!

Regards
