Silvio Fenders

Lief

Guru Schmuru
I see a couple posts about this but not my specific question.
and
I understand that the Silvio is a "road" bike and isn't designed with fenders, racks, storage, etc as foremost considerations...that said I will be adding all of the above.

I will be on my Silvio all the time, wet or dry, every working day.
I don't really like the raceblade fenders because they don't offer enough coverage to keep the bike clean and I have seen the results of a front fender coming loose at high speeds on a nice carbon Specialized and jamming between the wheel and the fork - it probably wouldn't be as painful on a Silvio but...I digress.

Can anyone confirm the fitment of PlanetBike fenders like these on a Silvio?

I bet the brakes will be a problem at least.
I suppose I could go custom if I need to...

I seem to remember that John Tolhurst advises folks to use the Planet Bike SpeedEZ Road fenders/mudguards. JT? :)
They're available in black or silver.
Sadly they are not "full coverage" and I guess that you would have to cable tie them on to prevent them flying off.

They are similar to SKS Race Blades.

There is also this thread about fitting SKS Race Blades to a Silvio, which I guess that you may not have found, as it is titled "Two bag options and mudguards for the Silvio".
A large part of the English speaking world calls them mudguards rather than fenders. ;) :)
