Silvio fork compared to conventional bike

Hi all...

This may be more for JT, but I was wondering if the SIlvio fork must be under different loading as compared to a conventional fork. With the triangle in front of the fork running up to the collar at the top, that must provide extra support to the front of the fork. That triangle must help limit the flexing of the fork from front to back, correct?

I've been pretty curious as to the engineering of my favorite bike!

Thanks

Yes you are onto it Harold.
Under heavy braking any load on your legs is transfered to the end of the fork by the chainstay. So can you make the fork lighter because of that? No, I think you have to retain the conventional load-case.
