Was wondering if anyone else struggles with recumbutt on the Silvio and any remedies or seat padding suggestions. I get it pretty quickly and seem to fight it the whole ride.
I place my Bacchetta pad on top of the Cruzbike pad and this pretty much fixed the problem. The nice thing about the Silvio V2 is that recumbutt will no longer be an issue. Hopefully, the seat angle will be adjustable...
My experience parallels cplager's. The lowering my seat angle reduced recumbutt. My Quest is currently set around 40 degrees and I still experience pain in my upper butt cheeks after about 4 or more hours in the seat.
I've purchased the Ventisit comfort seat pad early this spring and now with 900 miles on it I've found it to be more comfortable all around and of course it greatly reduces the sweating. While I've never have experienced the discomfort recumbutt mentioned above you might want to consider a Ventisit seat pad. For me it helped my issues with my lower back! It's a bit expensive but it might help.
I have not experienced recumbutt on either the Quest or Vendetta. I've done a century on the Quest and a tiny bit over a double century on the Vendetta.
I was having issues with my rear getting sore. I order the Wondergel Roll & Go - Gel Seat Cushion from Amazon.
Cut it out to fit inside the seat cover to replace the original foam cushion.
For me, this has really helped a lot. Recently rode 740 mile in 10 days on my Silvio with no issues.
