I know people advocate wearing 'bent bibs/shorts and other wear regular clothing when riding. During my trike and velomobile time, i've always worn DF bibs because, well, that's what I've had. I had a pair of Kucharik bibs and wasn't really impressed with them. During the academy, I bought a bunch of wicking boxer briefs for PT. I have half a mind to just wear them along with mesh lacrosse shorts (I live down the street from a a few churches and a school) for...modesty and wicking.

I'm prone to chafing and want to benefit from wicking material but really do not relish the idea of squeezing myself back in to bibs.

I realize a thread like this could go the way of a helmet (or motor oil) thread...

Thanks in advance for your input.

Lots of us use these shorts...personally I use them exclusively..https://www.elevenpine.com/collections/mens/products/mens-uprising-short?variant=28182432201

I don't use there liner , it looks like it has a seam up the middle. I use Under Armor compression shorts, they cost less and work great.

Thanks for the responses, going for a bit less of a roadie look once I am out and about.

I've had good look with Mobile 1 5W-30W.

Now, let's discuss leg shaving since this thread has not derailed yet.....

Thanks, MLJ. I saw those last night. I'm going to show around a bit and check out reviews.

FWIW, my Triumph only runs on Castrol Full Synthetic, the Honda runs Mobil 1.

The Castrol MUST be a lot cheaper than Mobil 1 to use on a LEAKY Triumph!!!!
