Experimented with using a smaller 20" wheel on a Softrider.

With the stock 26" wheel, head angle is 71 degrees. Using 20 inch 406 wheel, the head angle increased
to 75 degrees. The nimbleness of the bike improved without being too twitchy.
With the 26" wheel, it felt riding a mountain bike with 2 inch wide tires. With the 20", more like a road bike.
Will have to put in more miles to see if the conversion will stay. Very promising though on the short test ride. The crank height is now also about 3" lower than stock. Putting your feet down or stopping seems to be easier now.

yep i have done this on the t50 with a 406 and then put 406 on the back too. totally changes the bike in a fun sort of way. makes it a great urban bike. but, you need to make sure you keep a pretty fat front tire and avoid deep pot holes or you will be going over the front and have blowouts.

I found a picture of one one brol a while ago and more recently
@IndianaDave had his v set with 406’s front and rear.

I just scored a oelso brevet frameset for experimenting and i was contemplating 451’s on it. Which i will make so i can use on the v. Schwalbe is still making a one in 451
