Sofrider vs. Freerider handle bars

I have no put a little over 100 miles on my conversion kit so and love the whole thing. I am wondering if anyone can tell me why the shift from the handle bar style on the Freerider to the current style on the Sofrider. The reason for my question is whether the Freerider has the ability to control the front end better than the Sofrider. I sometimes feel when I am rider that the Sofrider style handle bars don't exert as much control. Having never ridden the Freerider I have nothing to compare.

Any thoughts?

Wider bars ... better leverage

We initially produced both the Sofrider and Freerider. Later we decided we would get better value from our stock, and better options for our customers if we:
a) just made the Sofrider
b) offered the Freerider bars for use on Sofrider, Conversion Kit and Quest.
For some people/riding styles, the Freerider bars are easier and make a more pleasant ride. For others, the Sofrider style is more suited.

If I don't clip in and will be riding short distances around town, the Freerider bars are my preference.

Bar ends

I have just put bar ends on my conversion and I find they are great when you need more power as you can really pull with your arms.

...just an alternative thought..
